Two images from my brief trip through Bear Lake, Idaho. I’ve been prepping them for printing with my Epson 1400 using the Cone Color K3 inks that I’ve just installed and profiled.
It was at this time last year that I passed through Bear Lake, on my way to Grand Teton National Park for a workshop put on by “The Mindful Eye” folks. I love the lighting in these images, but I have been obsessing over the colour balance. As shot (AWB on my Canon G10), the image is very cool. If I warm up the sky, the building and the ground get a bit too yellow for my taste. I’ve tried to find a compromise.
