Sky Blue and Dune Shadow Diptychs

I’m just back from a photography workshop in Death Valley National Park, California, put on by Craig Tanner and Marti Jeffers of The Mindful Eye Photography School.

On these workshops, all participants have the option of choosing a portfolio project. This is a chance to work on a set of six to eight images that focus on one subject, technique or idea. My portfolio project was “diptychs”.

Craig Tanner has done a video critique of my Sky Blue Diptych. You can find it at “Photo Tips and Inspiration – Sky Diptych”. You might need to register to see the video. Don’t hesitate. They won’t misuse your email address and there is a ton of useful photography content including hours and hours of video, as well as a supportive on-line community of photographers.

Needless to say, the workshop was excellent. Since then, I’ve been so busy with real life (the one that pays the bills), I haven’t had time to do any serious review of my images. Over the next few weeks, I hope to post more of them on-line.
