The same thing happens every year. August rolls quietly into September. The days seem a bit shorter but the weather doesn't change that much.
September slips away. The first hint of fall colour is easy to miss.
Made with "Vignette" on my Android phone (a Motorola Dext).
Camera phone ("iPhone") photography is lately enjoying a lot of attention. Of course, some of this is due to the novelty. These small cameras (coupled with a few good apps) can be really fun.
As time passes and the novelty fades (and as camera phones improve), viewers will become less easily impressed. The enduring quality of the camera phone, though, is that it will continue to be there when unplanned photo opportunities arise. So you can always catch the light.
Photos taken with the Motorola Dext using the Vignette app.
An interesting side effect of using a low tech. camera phone is an attraction to high contrast scenes. Taking photographs in the middle of the day becomes much more interesting. It has also rekindled my interest in black and white, which tends to handle the contrast better.
Image capture and processing was again done in-phone (Motorola Dext) with the Vignette app.
