This pair of images comes from a walk with my dog last fall. As you probably know, it’s hard to stand still and compose while walking a dog. So, I was playing with motion blurs (some intentional, some not). Despite the colorful time of year, a black and white treatment seemed to work best, putting more emphasis on the shadows.

I spend a lot of time walking dogs! I’ve tried to train myself to always grab a camera on the way out the door. Taking pictures with a pocket camera while trotting along at dog speed is full of compromises; but, if nothing else, it gives rusty photo skills some practice.
