Trees, Upper Kingsburg, #1

What a lot of work the digital age adds to photography. So many things to try, so many pictures to take – and so much editing to do! It’s a good thing, really. It certainly allows more creativity (or rather, makes it easier to be creative). But it’s no free lunch.

All of this is to say, it’s going to be a long time (if ever) before I’ve had a chance to play with many of the images from the photo workshop I attended in May. I did have some time tonight to work with one photo from a very foggy morning in Upper Kingsburg.

Trees, Upper Kingsburg, #1

This was taken while working on my assignment at the end of the week. With just a few hours left to finish shooting, I decided to drive to Hirtle Beach, hoping to get some good nature shots. It was really foggy. Light rain, actually. Thankfully, my camera didn’t pack it in. On the way back to base, I stopped at a small cemetery in Upper Kingsburg, surrounded on two sides by a thick wood. As always, the best opportunities seem to present themselves when time is running out.
